Egg
Which is the real egg? For this project, I wanted to focus on lighting and texturing to fool the audience. I took a photograph of a real egg and used Nuke to composite my CG egg over it. Scroll down to see if you were right!

This is the real Egg. Did I fool you?

After taking the real photograph, I add a cube and a chrome ball and take two more photographs. In Maya, I line up my CG cube to the cube in the photograph; which helps me get the right perspective. I also play with the focal length. I then crop the photograph to only show the chrome ball and use that as the texture for my CG sphere. I also create a geo dome with this photograph. I align my light with the light in the chrome ball.
I modeled an egg and part of the bench in Maya. I used procedural textures.
